Electrical safety is no laughing matter, so everyone at Charles Mix Electric takes electrical safety very seriously.

But CME employees cannot be everywhere all the time. That is where our members come in. It is every individual’s responsibility to themselves and to their family to identify, repair or report electrical hazards. Working together we can prevent electrical accidents and fire dangers Here are a few hazards to look for:

  • Exposed household wiring
  • Frayed insulation or damaged extension cords.
  • Electrical equipment missing covers.
  • Damaged electrical equipment
  • Loose receptacles. (Can cause fires)
  • Broken switches, sockets or receptacles.
  • Oversized fuses or breakers.
  • Low hanging power lines.
  • Trees grown up into power lines.
  • Damaged poles or crossarms.
  • Damaged power line wires or insulators.
  • Damaged guy wires or pulled guy anchors.

Please do your part to prevent an electrical tragedy by fixing or reporting problems immediately.
